The Foundation is a non-profit organization administering the Fulbright Program in Thailand under a bilateral agreement between the Thai and American governments. Our mission is to promote mutual understanding between the two countries through a wide variety of educational exchanges. 

Job description

We are currently looking for a qualified person to fill the vacancy of The Finance Officer manages and oversees the Foundation’s finances and accounting. As a senior member of staff, he or she will work closely with the Executive Director and the Foundation Treasurer who sits on the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides strategic guidance for ensuring overall fiscal health of the Foundation,
  • Oversees day-to-day financial activity; prepares annual budget and statistical reports,
  • Ensures oversight with appropriate controls and models the highest professional and ethical standards,
  • Implements efficient accounting systems with oversight for fiscal operations,
  • Provides timely internal and external financial reports, oversees insurance, ensures timely tax payments and oversees legal issues, GAAP compliance, working capital control, and all required audits,
  • Ensures full compliance with Thai laws concerning non-profit organizations. 
  • Coordinates with staff for financial management reporting, budgeting and forecasting,
  • Handles HR-related finance including recruitment, salary, and benefits.

 

Salary is dependent on experience and education. The salary range is up to 80,000 - 100,000 baht per month.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thai Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s in business administration
  • At least 5-years’ experience in finance, 3-5 years as Controller
  • At least 5-years’ experience as supervisor for management and accounting
  • At least 3-5-years’ experience with personnel and administration
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Knowledge of Thai tax & VAT laws and regulations
