ASIA-PACIFIC TELECOMMUNITY
The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) was founded on the joint initiatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Established in Bangkok in July 1979, the APT is an intergovernmental organization that operates in conjunction with telecom service providers, manufacturers of communications equipment, and research and development organizations active in the field of communication, information and innovation technologies.
APT serves as the focal organization for ICT in the region. Currently, the APT has a strength of 38 Members, 4 Associate Members and 134 Affiliate Members. Through its various programmes and activities, the APT has made a significant contribution to the development and growth in the ICT sector.
Throughout the past years, the APT has been able to assist members in the preparation of Global conferences such as ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP), World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) and the ITU meetings. The APT also involves in promoting regional harmonization of their programmes and activities in the region.
APT continues to support and facilitate its members in bringing about a qualitative and sustainable growth of ICT in the Asia-Pacific region.

VACANCY NOTICE NO. APT/HR/2026
1.Post Title: Assistant Project Coordinator (IT)
2.Classification: General Service Staff (Level GS-4) THB 726,003 net per annum
3.Period of Appointment: One year from the date of commencement and extendable depending on performance and conduct (with the probation period of 3 months)
4.Duty Station: APT Headquarters, Bangkok
5.Special Notice: This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to Regulation 4.4 of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules of the APT. A locally recruited staff member shall be defined as a staff member in the General Service Category who, at the time of recruitment, fulfills any of the following conditions: (i) is a Thai national; (ii) is recruited for a post which, in the opinion of the Secretary General, is normally restricted to local recruitment. A staff member regarded as having been locally recruited shall not be eligible for the allowances and benefits as that of International Recruitment.
Applicants should be from the nationality of APT Member, and they should be ready to work in Bangkok upon appointment. They must be authorized to work in Thailand regardless of where they live at the time of applying for the job opening.
6.Qualifications & Experience:
6.1: University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other related fields; Holder of master’s degree will be an advantage.
6.2: At least five years of relevant working experience in information technology, ICT administration, Microsoft 365 services, website administration, cloud-based services, or related fields;
6.3: Deep knowledge and experience in configuration of Microsoft cloud-base services and applications such as Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online including user accounts management, and management of mailboxes, mail distribution group and other resource management tasks.
6.4: Experience in administration, configuration and support of Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other related services and applications;
6.5: Experience in website administration, website user management, cloud-hosted applications, network infrastructure, and ICT support services;
6.6: Knowledge on PHP coding and CMS platforms;
6.7: Excellent command in written and spoken English.
6.8: Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
6.9: Experience in an international organization or multinational environment would be an advantage.
6.10: Additional qualifications and extensive experience in relevant ICT fields would be an advantage
7.Responsibilities:
The personnel will be assigned to, but not limited to, the following tasks:
7.1: Administer and maintain the APT Information System, Local Area Network and ICT services, including cloud-based Microsoft server application and services, Microsoft 365 application, websites, and related Information System infrastructure;
7.2: Manage user accounts and access rights, including email accounts, Microsoft 365 application and services, mailing lists, and website users;
7.3: Operation and maintenance of APT website and other web portals including update of its contents;
7.4: Provide technical support and assistance to Secretariat staff on ICT systems, Microsoft applications and services;
7.5: Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding system maintenance, services, upgrades, and procurement activities;
7.6: Planning, , implementation, monitoring, and reporting of APT Information System work activities and budgets;
7.7: Provide assistance to meetings and workshops under the assigned Work Programme, including preparation of Agenda, Programme, and related documentation.
7.8: Assist in communicating and coordinating with office bearers, speakers, and participants, and in the preparation of reports and working papers related to assigned Work Programme activities.
7.9: Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisors and/or Secretary General.
