Job description

BILINGUAL COMMERCIAL WRITER

Creative and Special Publications Department (CSP) of Bangkok Post PLC, publisher of the Bangkok Post newspaper and news websites – www.bangkokpost.com and www.posttoday.com – has a vacancy for a talented Bilingual Commercial Writer with high-standard English and Thai language copy.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Writing high-quality customer focused advertorials and content across the range of print, online and social media.
  • Translating both Thai to English and English to Thai.
  • Interviewing customers and attending functions to acquire information.

Qualification

Requirements

  • BA in English, Creative Writing, English Language, English Literature, Journalism or related discipline. International programme or overseas graduation is preferable.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a bilingual content writer.
  • Excellent speaking and writing English and Thai with grammar and punctuation knowledge.
  • Proven ability to interview customers, source information and develop high-standard Thai and English commercial copies and creative content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment with occasional overtime, weekend work, and travel upcountry.
