Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation. Check for plating accuracy (garnish, portion size, correct serving dish etc.)

• Primary responsibilities include; cooking of various recipes, preparation of vegetables, seasoning foods, and assisting the head chef.

• Skilled in the use of a kitchen knife and cutting methods is required. Any experience with pizza preparation is ideal.

• Knowledge of various ingredients, kitchen equipment, and cooking procedures is also required.

• Experience in a professional kitchen is ideal but not required.

• Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you

• Helping the head chef to develop new dishes and menus

• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

• Maintains effective communication with managers, fellow supervisors and all other coworkers.

• Order, prep, and keep stocked the common ingredients for all cooking stations, including meat, fish, vegetables, spices, etc.

• Ensuring you and your team, high hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation

Qualification

• Minimum 2 years work experience as Sous Chef -Thai or 4 years as Chef de Partie -Thai in international hotel or resort.

• Qualification in Culinary Production or Management will be an advantage.

• Bachelor degree, Diploma or Vocational but high experiences will be considered.

• Have Experience in Mediterranean Europe ( Spanish, Portugese, Italian and Greek food )  Especially Seafood & Desert

• Certificate in Restaurant or related field will be advantaged.

• Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.

• Good command of English, basic computer skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
