Global Innovation Scout

Feed the Future’s Asia Innovative Farmers Activity discovers, develops, and disseminates agricultural innovations throughout Asia. The USAID/Winrock International project office is located in Bangkok, Thailand with country offices in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Nepal.  Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources.

The Global Innovation Scout will have proven experience in conducting outreach to partners and sources to identify viable innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interview internal and external stakeholders to determine areas of highest need within agricultural innovations

2. Define and conduct activities that produce or identify innovations

3. Collaborate with partners to facilitate activities that identify innovations

4. Conduct screening of potential innovations to identify viable innovations

5. Maintain an online profile of screened innovations

6. Provide analysis of sources and partners for quality and viability of innovations

7. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience and proven record of success in sourcing innovations

• Established contacts and network in the sector and internationally

• Strong English language skills

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

• Excellent attention to detail

• Skilled at establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

Location:  may be based in any S.E./South Asian country, extensive regional travel
