The Role
The primary function of the Client Relationship Officer is to cultivate, build and provide seamless day-to-day support and service to clients and Management to create further opportunities for business with Christie’s.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
Business Development
- Work directly with the clients and staff to cultivate further opportunites for business.
- Provide service via phone and on-site/off-site support.
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale service
- Develop a deep familiarity with all clients and their collection, anticipating and responding to their needs.
- Strategize, analyze and formulate the development of new clients and implement development strategy.
- Answer and follow up through with incoming calls and request and assist clients in a timely manner.
- Participate in telephone bidding with clients during auctions.
- Work closely, efficiently and effectively with Specialist Depts, Senior Management, Client Devt, international and regional offices and internal support departments, to serve the clients.
- Maintain thorough client cfiles and update Siebel as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Process Implementation
- Maintatin thorough client files and update Client Relations Management system as appropriate.
Metrics and Reporting
- Maintain relationships whilst promoting other avenues of revenue, eg private sales, consignments, e-commerce – supporting clients where necessary alongside relevant departments.
Enchancing Christie’s brand
- Act as representative of Christie’s and builds relationsip with external shareholders.
- Use own relationsip to maintain and grow Christie’s presence in the market, grow its market share and create competitive advantage.
Events and Partnerships Coordination
- Plan and execute all events related to marketing/ PR and sales preview, liaising closely with strategic partners where relevant
- Create and maintain the events calendar
- Coordinate invitation and mailing process
- Identify and help negotiate strategic partnerships
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of art-related/luxury retail or hospitality experience involving client facing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken English and Thai. Proficiency in any third language an advantage.
- Well connected and networked in the targeted geographic market. Excellent client services.
- Ability to work with discretion when dealing with highly confidential information.
- Strategic and creative thinking.
- Process and goal driven with superior organizational skills.
- Strong follow up skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situation and work effectively in fast paced and time-sensitive situations.
- Multi-tasked with strong time management capability.
- Computer literate. Email, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
