We are seeking a qualified teacher who is committed to achieving high academic standards and creating a stimulating and positive classroom ethos for our international primary program. Watthanakorn International School (currently known as Watthana Montessori Pre-School) is a private school located in Vientiane Capital. Our pre-school program followed the Montessori approach to education and has run for successful 8 years. We are at the expansion stage to open the international primary program in the school year of 2018 (beginning in August) using the Cambridge curriculum together with the launch of our new building.  The position will commence in July 2018. 

Requirements are:

• Native English speaker.
• Qualification: Bachelor degree major in Education or a postgraduate teaching certificate (PGCE equivalent) trained in Western university (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, NZ)
• At least 2 years of teaching experiences at a school following Cambridge curriculum.
• Experiences working in Laos or Asia are advantages.
• Good communication, teamwork and seeing teaching as a serious profession.
• 2 years contract (after 3 months’ probation period)

Duties:

• Homeroom teacher teaching English, Mathematics, Sciences and other additional subject. The teacher is also responsible for the welfare of his/her homeroom class.
• Take part and assist in school activities as assigned by the principal.
• Work closely with the school principal in strengthening the curriculum of the school.
