Summary
Reporting to the President of Asia of OMADA International, the Thailand Division General Manager will manage the full P&L of the Thailand Division which includes sales, program management, manufacturing operations, engineering, procurement, quality, human resources and finance. Responsible to lead a team of direct reports to continue to drive the business, and create an overall atmosphere that will allow significant continued growth.
Essential Functions
- Successfully manage the start-up of Thailand Division to achieve all operational and financial targets.
- Aggressively grow the division’s products, capabilities and processes and integrate with the combined capabilities of other OMADA divisions.
- Owns the OMADA strategy locally. Able to see and communicate the strategy in an inspiring way to all divisional personnel.
- Create and maintain a great rewarding work environment, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and with respect.
- Maximize utilization of all capital equipment with aggressive capacity targets and make/buy.
- Attract and retain the best human resources in the industry – develop the strongest team in the industry.
Competencies
- Proven track record of successfully managing a full P&L of a manufacturing business, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Experience in managing within a western owned multi-national company
- Experienced in directly managing machining and assembly operations with proven success in continuous process improvement
- Experienced with managing customers and achieving all quality and OTD targets
- Proven ability to hire and develop ‘A” players and build a strong organization.
- Organization and planning – Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule and budget in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities
- Honesty/Integrity – Does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidences. Does what is right, not what is politically expedient.
- Attention to detail – Able to function independently to complete a variety of tasks. Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project or achievement of financial and operational goals.

Qualification
- Undergraduate degree with a preference for engineering or operations focus.
- Minimum of 10 years of operating management experience with at least 7 years in machining and assembly businesses.
- Direct shop floor experience required.
- Aerospace machining and component assembly experience preferred.
