Job description

  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services, and resolve occupants' complaint
  • Assign duties to workers, and schedule shifts
  • Greet and register guests
  • Coordinate front-office activities of hotels and resolve problems
  • Participate in financial activities such as the setting of room rates, the establishment of budgets, and the allocation of funds to departments
  • Confer and cooperate with other managers to ensure coordination of hotel activities
  • Collect payments, and record data pertaining to funds and expenditures
  • Manage and maintain temporary or permanent hotel facilities
  • Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to facility's policies and procedures
  • Train staff members

Qualification

  • Service Minded: Deal with guests with good service and friendly demeanor
  • Interpersonal Skills: Being calm and direct in a stressful situation and being able to communicate with many different types of people. Understand and satisfy customer needs and employees alike
  • Leadership: Be able to motivate employees, resolve issues and complaints from guests. Motivate and guide hotel staff and resolve conflicts, leadership and managerial abilities
  • Listening: Excellent listening skills are needed
  • Management: Working with budgets, planning, creating schedules and supervising operations
  • Organization: Organized events to budgets and scheduling manpower. Operational form schedules to budgets to human resources, organizational skills are essential
  • Problem-Solving: Be able to think quickly and make decisions with problems
  • Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, Accounting, Computer systems and Administration are a plus and likely to be considered
  • Business skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to manage staff
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills is a must
