Company Profile

Huachiew Chalermprakiet University was founded by the Poh Tek Tung Foundation, one of the largest charitable organizations of overseas Chinese in Thailand. The University upholds a longstanding commitment to supporting education as a means of human resource development under the guiding principle of “Studying to Be of Service to Society.”

With a history spanning over fifty years, the University originated in 1941 as the Huachiew Hospital Midwifery School. It later expanded into Huachiew College and was elevated to university status in recognition of its academic development and social contribution. On 11 May 1992, the institution was graciously granted the royal name “Huachiew Chalermprakiet University.”

The University is dedicated to producing graduates equipped with both knowledge and moral integrity, who are committed to social responsibility and public service. Its educational philosophy emphasizes virtue, compassion, and wisdom, in accordance with Buddhist principles and the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy.

Huachiew Chalermprakiet University aspires to be a medium-sized university with academic excellence at the international level, while preserving and promoting Chinese–Thai culture and maintaining strong social responsibility.
