The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) was established in 1997 as Asia’s first network of civil society organizations focused on promoting democracy in the countries of Asia.

Job description

Duration: 7 months (3 Months probation)

Responsibilities / Job Description

  • Develop and implement program goals in coordination with the Executive Director and Country Representative, who will be the supervisors of the successful candidate.
  • Liaise and develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners to promote the program, solicit support and execute program strategy.
  • Research and plan data collection.
  • Prepare reports showing the plans, progress and performance of the project, and contribute to processes to measure, learn from and increase the impact of the project.
  • Handle administration and support in organizational development.
  • Communicate effectively with the other team members on a daily basis.
  • Supervise the database structure.

Qualification

  • Age: 30-45 years.
  • Gender: Male / Female.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and creative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities and to work cooperatively to build networks and satisfy needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and be part of a virtual team, thriving in a start-up environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), IT skills and ability to quickly understand and use web based applications and platforms.
  • Experience in working with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical clients.
  • Graphics design ability is a plus.
  • A reasonable understanding of electoral processes and election support related work
  • Knowledge of the Myanmar language will be an advantage

 

Education &  Experience

  • A university degree.
  • A minimum of two years work experience, with a record of relevant accomplishments in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience in project managing, rolling out, leading or coordinating program operations, especially with any other resource Center, will be regarded as a plus.
  • Documented experience working in philanthropic/non-profit sector.
