Job description

EDC is beginning to implement a new workforce development project that will strengthen universities and vocational centers in the Lower Mekong sub-region. This project seeks to bridge the gap between the private sector, universities and vocational centers in order to ensure the supply of skilled workers meets the demands from local businesses. 

EDC is looking for technical and operations staff with a variety of skills to work in its Bangkok office.

General Qualifications:

  • Experience with donor-funded projects strongly preferred;
  • Prior experience working for an international NGO preferred;
  • Experience working with international donors, as well as counterparts and beneficiaries;
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong proficiency in English and Thai.

Oversees all monthly field office financial reports, supervise timely reporting to the home office, prepare cash flow forecasts, oversee bank reconciliations and ensure the EDC field staff and activity expenditures comply with EDC and donor financial procedures and regulations ensuring that sound fiscal management systems comply with donor rules and regulations.  S/He will provide financial management inputs in the budget and in designing, implementing and monitoring of funded project activities; providing initial financial review and follow-up on sponsors monthly financial reports/vouchers and advances while ensuring that for the Project’s fiscal policies and procedures meet the highest quality standards, communicating to all staff about for Project financial requirements and procedures.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred;
  • 5-7 years working experience in administration, finance and management in relevant programs;
  • Proficient in Excel, Quicken and MS 2000;
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws, Tax Laws and Import Laws will be an asset.
