Job description

Location :

  • Thailand

This role is based in Bangkok, however, will involve extensive travel throughout Thailand and neighboring countries to cruise ship ports and destinations. 

 

Direct Reporting to :

  • Regional Cruise Development Manager – SEA, India and Sri Lanka

 

Scope of Works :

  • Responsible for the completion of proposals for Cruise Line Clients
  • Negotiating and contracting rates from suppliers that relate to cruise products
  • Responsible for budget, cash flow plus profit margin reporting
  • Assists with New Product Development and quality assurance of existing products
  • Coordinates all services required to run a successful cruise ship ground handling operation
  • Operates as the point of contact on the ground for the cruise ship Shore Excursions Manager
  • Administrative duties including, invoicing, reporting and file management

Qualification

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Thai
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Task oriented approach
  • A background within the Tourism Industry, a clear understanding of DMC operations
  • Experience of Cruise group and / or large incentive group coordination (Cruise group experience preferred)
  • Experience of copy writing
  • Computer Literacy – Word/Excel/Power point/E-mail
  • Comfortable with communicating to members at all levels of the Management Team
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to think ahead around an operation to anticipate potential issues and take action to prevent these
  • Ability to adjust and adapt quickly as situations arise
  • Comfortable with working outdoors in any weather
