Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Assistant Analyst/Trader to join our investment team. We are a newly formed investment company specialising in the US equity and options market and are offering a role that would suit an individual with a passion for investing and the finance markets.

 

This is a great opportunity to work in a growing and innovative team where responsibility and experience is afforded at the ground level. You will be provided with training and have access to our extensive library of education courses as part of your development as a key part of the team.

 

Duties include:

  • Performing analysis of trading data
  • Conduct macro and micro economic analysis
  • Research trends in different investment markets
  • Perform detailed analysis of company fundamentals, news & announcements
  • Perform technical analysis of stock charts
  • Produce market reports and updates

Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s Degree  with an understanding of financial terms
  • Experience in the development of trading systems
  • Advanced Excel skills; a good knowledge of other programmes such as charting, brokerage and trading platforms will be an advantage
  • Current or recent experience trading/investing in the financial markets
  • An understanding or experience in equities, managed funds, fixed interest or international shares, will be viewed favourably
  • Basic knowledge of options pricing theory, quantitative models, and probability theory
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in global financial markets
  • A good ability to work within a team but can also work independently and unsupervised
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills who can contribute innovative ideas
  • An ability to be quick thinker and learner
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills (English)
