Job description

We are now looking for the position of F&B Director for The Reverie Saigon, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. Please view our website for your more information (www.thereveriesaigon.com)

 

Critical activities are as follows:

1/ Developing F&B brands of the Company:

  • Sets food and beverage standards to meet the owner’s expectations and in line with Leading Hotels of The World standards
  • Work with F&B leadership team to determine areas of concern and develops strategies to improve  department’s financial performance and service performance
  • Establishes a yearly  F&B  marketing  plan,  by working   closely  with  the  Director of  Sales and the Director of Marketing ensuring  clear  action  plans  to penetrate key  market  segments.
  • Stay aware of market trends and introduce new food and beverage products to meet and exceed customer expectations, generate increased revenue and ensure a competitive position in the market.

2/ Planning food and beverage budget

  • Works  closely  with  the  Director of Finance   to  establish annual  Food and Beverage operating  plans,  identifying  and  responding   to margin  and  cost  improvement    opportunities
  • Monitor department’s actual sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed.

3/ Leading the team and conducting Human Resource activities:

  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the preparation, presentation and service of food products is at the highest quality at all times, oversees all event operations including banquets & meetings.
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Provided guidance and direction to subordinates including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Monitor   and  overview   consistent training  and  development   plans  for  all  employees   to  ensure  high employee    morale  and strategic continuity  planning  within  the  hotel  and the  company.
  • Coach and support food & beverage leadership team to effectively manage wages, food & beverage costs and controllable expenses.
  • Ensure staff are treated fairly and equitably.
  • Ensure that expectations and objectives are clearly communicated to subordinates, so that they are also open to raise questions and/or concerns.

Qualification

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Proven track record in managing food & beverage within the luxury hotel industry is essential
  • A plus for candidates with working experience at luxury hotels belonging to the Leading Hotels of the World
  • Working experience in Asia (Vietnam, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or Japan)
  • Good Customer and Personal services
  • Strong leadership skills and administration skills 
  • Ability to manage financial resources 
  • Apply business knowledge
  • Ability to manage material resources
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal essential 
  • Ability to work comprehensively with spreadsheets and budgeting packages
