The Mekong Institute (MI) is an Intergovernmental Organization  of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Its products and services include training, research, policy dialogue facilitation and subregional development projects in the GMS countries. The Director is the chief executive who brings a vision to thr Indtitute's role in accelerating sustainabke sicuak and economic development and poverty alleviation in the Subregion and is able to articulate and implement that vision.
