Job description

Purpose of the Position

Under the supervision of the Regional Chief of Private Fundraising and Partnerships – Regional Support Centre(PFP-RSC), the incumbent will serve as a primary source of information to the Regional Chief and othermembers of the PFP-RSC in the East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) region for operations, budget andknowledge based information. The incumbent will also support on PFP-RSC activities relevant to its functionsprovided to country offices, carry out finance and operations related functions to contribute towards theachievement of the team results and targets, and liaise with the Finance and Operations division at EAPRO andPFPHQ in Geneva.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the quality assurance, monitor, data analysis, and report of PFP monthly and annually progressand budgeting toward the results as articulated in the Global and Office’s Workplan. Oversee thecompletion and accuracy of financial situation and budget status and executes ad-hoc analysis and reportson balances and expenses of PFP-RSC along the year. This includes initial budget forecast and liaison withPFPHQ. Provide recommendations to the Regional Chief to optimize the implementation.
  • Serve as regional liaison between the Country Offices, the Regional Support Centre (RSC), OperationsSection in UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office and PFP HQ in Geneva on all matters concerningoperations and finance in regards to Private Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP). Facilitate resolution ofproblems within PFP section which hinder the operational functioning within the region and recommendpolicy procedures through the Regional Chief of PFP.
  • Perform operational functions related to the needs of the team and office for achieving results which includes but not limited to organizing and responsible of all tasks relevant to workshop, meeting, conference and other related events. Support the preparation of Term of References and other appropriate documents for Fundraising, Partnerships and CSR, and follow through for processing, completion of activity and payment. Perform specific functions related to PFP/CSR funding, budgeting, expenditure and accountability in adherence with UNICEF’s as well as PFPs’ policies and procedures using available operational systems, i.e. VISION, COGNOS. Act as main focal point for operating SAP/VISION in coordination with other members of the PFP-RSC team and Operations colleagues.
  • Build a repository of subject matter information, including articles, presentations, guidance/concept notes, reports and documents including those for online database and SharePoint. Synthesize trends in the regional and global environment and capture experiential knowledge. Ensure that this contributes to knowledge of staff across responsible countries of RSC and support capacity building, PFP, Corporate Partnerships, CSR as well as advocacy activities. Contribute to the regional market knowledge information bulletin (called E-Buzz) quarterly.

Qualification

  • Completion of secondary education with extensive training in Marketing or Fundraising. Preferably university degree in Social Science, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years progressively responsible experience in administrative field which at least two years includes a sales or marketing work especially in the service of fast moving consumer goods market and international organization preferred.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English and Thai
  • Excellent written for sector monitoring and report writing; and oral communication skills, including presentations.
  • Proven ability to be well organized, highly numerate, multi-tasking, cope with pressure and display outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage diverse assignments.
  • Computer literacy, including internet navigation and office applications; good knowledge of database management and electronic database.

  • Manage and coordinate with country offices in the region and Regional Fundraising Assistant on any related issues to the PFP, particularly on donation to UNICEF in EAPRO/ROSA.
