Job description

Duration : 7 months (3 Months probation)

Responsibilities / Job Description

  • Develop and implement program goals in coordination with the Country Representative, who will be the supervisors of the successful candidate.
  • Liaise and develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners to promote the program, solicit support and execute program strategy.
  • Provide assistance in program management though documentation and coordination in project related activities
  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, and/or reports as may be required by the Country Representative and the Management 
  • Office management and attend to the needs of the office and be able to take a lead in office organisational activities
  • Assist in accounting and budgeting on office and project related expenditures
  • Liaise with CSOs, Media, facilitate in organising meetings, follow-up on all project related activities (programs) and day to day matters.
  • Systematic documentation of programs, networking with CSOs, media and other stakeholders related to the project 
  • Conduct research and documentation as maybe directed by the Country Manager and Project Officer to strengthen data collection and systematize documentation and reporting 
  • Assist the Country Manager and his/her team to in preparing presentations, logistics and other office or workshop/conference related work as maybe required.
  • Carry out any other related task/s required by the secretariat.

Qualification

  • Age: 24-45 years. 
  • Gender: Male / Female. 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. 
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and creative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities and to work cooperatively to build networks and satisfy needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and be part of a virtual team, thriving in a start-up environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), IT skills and ability to quickly understand and use web based applications and platforms.
  • Experience in working with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical clients.
  • Graphics design ability is a plus.
  • A reasonable knowledge of election management and election support activities 
  • Sensitive to gender and different communities.
  • Knowledge of the Myanmar language will be an advantage

 

Education &  Experience

  • A university degree or a diploma or equivalent education in organisational management or a related field
  • A minimum of two to three years of work experience, with a record of relevant accomplishments in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience in project managing, rolling out, leading or coordinating program operations, especially with any other resource Center, will be regarded as a plus.
  • Documented experience working in philanthropic/non-profit sector.  
  • Good communication skills
