Job description

EDC is beginning to implement a new workforce development project that will strengthen universities and vocational centers in the Lower Mekong sub-region. This project seeks to bridge the gap between the private sector, universities and vocational centers in order to ensure the supply of skilled workers meets the demands from local businesses. 

EDC is looking for technical and operations staff with a variety of skills to work in its Bangkok office.

General Qualifications:

  • Experience with donor-funded projects strongly preferred;
  • Prior experience working for an international NGO preferred;
  • Experience working with international donors, as well as counterparts and beneficiaries;
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong proficiency in English and Thai.

Responsible for supporting the administrative functions of the senior staff, including preparing documents, meeting coordination and scheduling, routine daily financial transactions, maintaining records and files, travel arrangements for staff and consultants as well as coordinating meeting details for their visits. 

Qualification

  • High School diploma, Vocational Training or equivalent with 4 - 6 years relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • 3-5 years administrative management experience with international projects;
  • Basic budget monitoring and general ledger skills;
  • Excellent computer skills including use of PowerPoint and Excel Microsoft Office programs;
  • Knowledge of database software preferred.
