Job description

EDC is beginning to implement a new workforce development project that will strengthen universities and vocational centers in the Lower Mekong sub-region. This project seeks to bridge the gap between the private sector, universities and vocational centers in order to ensure the supply of skilled workers meets the demands from local businesses. 

EDC is looking for technical and operations staff with a variety of skills to work in its Bangkok office.

General Qualifications:

  • Experience with donor-funded projects strongly preferred;
  • Prior experience working for an international NGO preferred;
  • Experience working with international donors, as well as counterparts and beneficiaries;
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong proficiency in English and Thai.

Responsible for providing direct supervisory support to administration, human resources, and finance functions, including providing on-going planning support, monitoring and performance evaluations of each of these units.  S/He will ensure compliance with and adherence to donor regulations and procedures including maintenance of internal control and accountability for EDC resources. S/He will assist in the facilitation of Project’s monthly partner meetings, joint planning and implementation meetings and technical working group mechanisms.  

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree or PhD preferred;
  • Specific technical, financial, and operations expertise relevant to program;
  • Capacity to work in difficult conditions and function well under pressure;
  • Extensive international experience and experience in a developing country required
  • Experience in the Lower Mekong sub-region preferred.
