Job description

DESCRIPTION:

           Global Rescue is looking for an individual to support our ongoing efforts in the IT Department. This person will be responsible for the day to day operations supporting not only desktop user requirements, including but not limited to laptop/desktop builds but more complex tasks within a Microsoft Windows Environment as well as a Linux Environment. This individual will ideally have worked in and be comfortable managing Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Apache, MySQL and JBoss (or at least be familiar with the principals). The ideal candidate should have some experience working with developers and software development processes and technologies. Candidates must possess a willingness to learn new techniques and be able to research, communicate and document projects in a team environment. This position will be based out of our Bangkok, Thailand office. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily support of the internal user environment as it relates to end user systems, including laptops, desktops, VoIP systems, and email infrastructure.
  • Identify performance issues and tune systems as necessary. 
  • Assist with IT related activities based on Windows server infrastructure, Exchange 2013, Sharepoint 2013 and SQL Server 2008. 
  • Linux/Windows systems administration and scripting as needed.
  • Will be responsible for configuring and managing multiple JBoss/Apache/MySQL server farm on CentOS.
  • Interface with our internal development group and support code promotions and production releases.
  • High levels of personal operating efficiency on assigned tasks and problems are required.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for production systems, including change processes.
  • Willingness to research technologies needed to implement new projects and further enhance the production systems, consisting of both Linux and Windows environments.

Qualification

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Intermediate Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008/R2 Server administration in an Active Directory Environment
  • Experience managing Exchange Server 2010 or 2013
  • Experience in Linux systems administration (CentOS, RHEL)
  • Experience in optimization and tuning components in both Windows and Linux Environments
  • Experience in Apache web server/ MySql database server administration
  • Experience in JBoss Application Server configuration, administration and management is a PLUS
  • Current Microsoft or Red Hat certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Compensation: salary based on experience + bonus + benefits

This is a national hired post.  You will need to have the right to work in Thailand.  We will be unable to provide a work visa to a non-Thai national.
