The Rotary Peace Center at Chulalongkorn University twice annually conducts three month professional development training programs in peace and conflict studies.  The Rotary Peace Fellows hosted by the Center hail from all corners of the world and hold a wide variety of professions.  Our work demands a high level of work competency along with a strong commitment to customer service.  During training sessions, and especially on field studies, daily routines can be unpredictable and require flexibility, teamwork, and creativity.  The Rotary Peace Center at Chulalongkorn University is looking for qualified individuals to join our ongoing mission to improve our program and develop our Center in new and exciting ways.

Job description

The Curriculum & Outreach Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the curriculum needs of the Center.  This includes, but is not limited to: assisting the Deputy Director in developing the Center curriculum and field studies, sending invitations to lecturers; ensuring receipt of lecturer forms and materials; providing administrative support to lecturers; scheduling and serving as the point of contact for organizations visited on field studies; arranging visas, working, and other related documents for fellows, lecturers, and staff as needed; and serving as the primary liaison with Chulalongkorn University in all curriculum and academic matters.  S/he will also be responsible for coordinating fellows’ admissions and university paperwork.

 

The Curriculum & Outreach Specialist will assist the Deputy Director with Center public relations, promotion, and outreach efforts.  This includes, but is not limited to: assisting the Deputy Director with managing the Center’s social media accounts; compiling regular updates for the Center’s online presence and newsletter; and assisting the Deputy Director with regular promotional and outreach initiatives.

 

The Curriculum & Outreach Specialist will support Administrative and Academic Committee meetings, provide translations of documents between Thai and English as needed, and will perform other duties as assigned.

 

This position includes domestic and international travel of approximately 4-6 weeks per year.

Qualification

The Curriculum & Outreach Specialist should have at least a bachelor’s degree plus five years work experience.  S/he must be fluent in Thai and proficient in both written and spoken English.  Knowledge of or interest in topics related to conflict resolution is a plus.
